It is with some sadness that I will be leaving the Suddaby community at the end of this school year. I have an opportunity to take a leave and run at a more moderate pace next year. I will be doing some more writing, continue my involvement with the community building and charitable organizations that I have the pleasure of serving, taking some graduate courses at Wilfrid Laurier University, and will have the chance to spend more time with my family.

It has been a pleasure to serve the families here at Suddaby. There are so many passionate people in and around this building whose first interest is the wellbeing of Suddaby’s children, and that is a wonderful thing.

All year we have been encouraging the children to think about how they can be the best version of themselves. I urge you to continue that conversation with them, as it is something worth pondering throughout our lives. The wonder of it all is that we have some choice in who we are, and what face we show the world. I know that I don’t always succeed, but I feel better about myself if I strive to be the person that I want to be.

Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this community.
