Connecting with Teachers:  

We’re happy that our Suddaby Stars will be able to briefly connect with their teachers.  Teachers will distribute any student belongings, as well as report cards.  Teachers will also provide asynchronous work, as our last day of synchronous learning will be Wednesday, June 23rd.   Please see the schedule below for your time.  Distance Learning students are also included.  

 

What to Bring: 

  • Any borrowed devices (Chromebooks and iPads) and power cords (Please delete student accounts.)
  • Library and home reading books

 

Keeping Everyone Safe:

  • Prior to your visit, all students and family members must complete the Ontario School Screening. If you receive the DO NOT GO TO SCHOOL message, do not come to the school.  Teachers will be asking to ensure that you completed this screening for each member of your group.
  • Limit the number of visitors as much as possible.
  • Wear a mask for your visit.
  • Keep physically distanced – 2 m apart from anyone who isn’t in your household. There will be pylons to help for distancing in line.
  • Use the hand sanitizer that will be provided.

 

Visit Details:

  • Our teachers are so excited to connect with their students briefly. 
  • This visit will not include time to connect with peers.  Please do not stay to socialize or play.  On these days, our school playgrounds are closed during school hours.
  • Staff are not permitted to be photographed with students and their families.
  • Our visits will go on rain or shine.
  • You will not be able to come inside the school.

Distance Learners:

  • Please return all tech, even if you’re in Remote Learning in September.
  • Use our buzzer at the Lancaster Door to let us know when you arrive.
  • Distance learning report cards will be mailed.

 

Can’t Make Your Drop Off Window?

  • Reach out to your teacher.  They will be able to help you make arrangements.
  • Consider making arrangements with a friend or neighbour to drop off devices and pick up student belongings.  Let your teacher know about these plans.  
  • We do not have the ability to store belongings etc. over the summer.  Please make arrangements to pick up any student belongings, work, etc. during your visit.
