It is with deep sadness that we share news of the death of one of our students, Daniel Kakozi.

Daniel was a kind, energetic, creative, and curious student. He liked to build with the small soft blocks, often making a castle, and playing tag, soccer, and climbing on the play structure outside with his friends.

In honour of Daniel, the flags at our school and the Waterloo Region District School Board Education Centre will be flown at half mast this week.

Our thoughts are with Daniel’s family and friends.
